My name’s Joe Braddock. I’m 26 and I’ve struggled with social anxiety disorder (also called social phobia, or just shyness) pretty much all my life.
I’ve got to the point where I’ve decided that enough is enough and I’m going to beat this thing once and for all.
I’ll be blogging about my experiences and I’d appreciate it if you’d follow along and join me. Maybe it’ll inspire you tol do the same thing.
I’ve studied the topic of social anxiety for a long time and I’ll be using a number of methods to help including congnitive behavioural therapy, NLP, relaxation techniques and more.
The main technique I’ll be using however, is a new one called The Social Strategies. I only came across recently and I’m really excited about trying it out. I’ll certainly let you know how it goes.
Talk soon,
Joe Braddock

social anxiety treatment can be cured if work upon the root cause of anxiety.
Deep breathing exercises are excellent for anxiety and many people report positive results from meditation. Some other natural anxiety remedies to look into are St.John’s Wort, SAMe, L-Theanine, and Tryptophan.

My life has been ruined beyond repair due to social anxiety. I’m 33 and I hate being in crowds and generally around people I don’t know because I feel like I’m constantly being judged, watched, and scrutinized. I know it is irrational and I may be imagining it but there is no control. It is an instinctual feeling, much like hearing a sound in the woods, you have to turn towards it. It is as real as breathing. You can stop breathing for a minute but your brain kicks in and makes you breathe again. It is very deep rooted to the point where it takes concious effort to try to stop the anxiety. This has held me back from many amazing opportunities. I don’t know what to do.
